SHADOWSCAPES are 2-mixed media artworks that reveal a hidden third dimension when backlit by a window, bulb, or candle. Each shadowscape consisits of multiple layers of velum that are carefully arranged to form an image. Each layer is individually cut to add another level of contrast to the artwork. What begins as a two-dimensional photograph is transformed into a beautiful 3-dimensional illusion.
